Safe Haven

Nothing beats the city stress than being in your niche. Safe Haven. The feeling of tranquility brought about by that same nostalgic feeling of being in your cocoon heals every scar that is caused by the hustle and bustle of city living. While the city can be one chaotic, tangled and distressed place, this SAFE HAVEN is where one's soul can recuperate, where one's scar can be best healed, where the best gathering should be hosted. The sense of familiarity of being in this place is enough to shake off every shred of negativity that is put forth in your day. The malady of work, of studies, of various relationships -- they seem to be out of place here. A place of positivity is what it is. It's our Garden of Eden of some sort.
You get to appreciate things at its simplest state. There are no blinding city lights here, nor the deafening honking horns of the early traffic mayhem. Time is slow, and every second of it is worth living. People are not in a hurry to make money. People are not parched to make money. CONTENTMENT. You got to feel it here. Life's perks are not those fancy glitzy material things nestled in the mall, nor the crazy beat of some Saturday night party. It's the serenity that is brought about by the sight of endless greens, of that relaxing afternoon breeze, of that enchanting melody of animal symphony, of the company of people who matter.
And it's best savored with the company of a good friend, a nice conversation, appetizing food, a bunch of laughter. It's a place where you speak with your native tone, one thing you sometimes forget to do while in the city. It's not complicated here. Kind and generous people are abound. Good stories lurk in every household awaiting to be told to some new stranger. It's hospitality at its finest.
A place to think is indeed what it is. It's a place to weigh options and risks without being clouded by the disturbing temptations of indulgence. It can be a place to forget, a place to find love, a place where you feel you're loved unconditionally. You don't feel pissed when rainy days came, you feel blessed instead. It's a place I hope I can stay longer, or forever perhaps.
Definitely it's a place for my jump shots! It's a place to feel crazy, be crazy, be with crazy people. Memories are forever preserved. Feel the warmth of people first hand. Hear my father's stories of courting girls back in the days. Simple tales of how pigs and cows are raised. Hear my cousins boast about their table tennis skills. Watch them play. PRICELESS. :)
My Safe Haven is where I'm at my best
Where I feel complete
Where I'm most loved
And I want to share it to the world...

XOXO
