How unfair can life get?

Was it that easy to forget?

While i am left lingering

Succumbing to pain

Of you disappearing.

My inside contracts

for the memory of the past

When i was giddy, you're cheesy

And i was dreamy

It was you and me.

And my knees get weak

They tremble and i sob

It's your birthday and i didn't greet you

Today i wanna hug you

Can i perhaps kiss you?

I was thinking of being with you today

Holding your hands all day

Hum a song or two

Blow your cake with you.

Forgive me for the cowardice

Getting tired of the lies

Can never move on that swiftly

Am stuck and i'm enjoying it

Though it's nothing but ache that's left.
