Beach Babies
Happiness is being in that random moment, with the randomest of plan, and with this crazy crew who never fail to bring out my uber crazy bones. I think our huge grins say it all. :))
After New Year and we hit the beach like the carabao itself wanting and itching to take the plunge in the coldness of water in the nearby tubog. (sorry, i can't think of the right word at the moment.. haha) Anyway, beach trips has been (it seems like) a staple whenever I go back home, Batangas that is. Vacations wouldn't be complete without hopping into Drogo (the jeepney), on the roof if the elders permit, and heading to the nearest beach for a quick salt-in-the-body kind of treat. All we had were a thermos of hot water for our coffee and then packs of hot pandesal and we're good to go.
This crazy crew I've got always makes the beach trips different from one another, more exciting than the former, unforgettable and crazier and all. Gosh, come with us next time and you'll experience it. It's often low tide so we always get to play on the sand bar. My cousins would immediately draw lines for our usual patintero game, and let the tournament begin!! haha.. Everyone's competitive and fighting tooth and nail. I often end up going home with my barely-there voice due to severe shouting, cheering, hollering, you name it.
After the game, we'll then wait for fishermen with their buckets of wiggling fish. They gladly sell their catch to us and lunch is solved!! haha .. Sinigang na sariwang isda, ow-men!! burpppp.. :))
