Defying Shakespeare

the dazzling thought of two horizons meeting

and the troubling idea of one not-so happy ending

it was a kaleidoscope on its own

of triangles and squares all thrown

in a sea of shattered silver glass.

when days can't  be more than perfect

though the sudden downpour others say is a defect

yet I find myself beaming for an unknown-known reason

looking ahead beyond what's in the season

in an array of crimson rose petals.

i've got the sweetest candy in my mouth

the tastiest lollipop there is en earth

Candy Gods have blessed me with jars of sweets

so sweet I'm nearly deabetic

in the middle of sugarland.

defying all written cliches

everything written by shakespeare

all that's based off of romeo and juliet

ive got to etch another cheesy love-something

perhaps paint what is unspoken.
